Capacity Planning

Growth and change within an organisation requires restructuring of IT systems. Capacity Management looks at the existing technology, and using current convergence techniques such as server consolidation and virtualisation, seeks to simplify and unify disparate systems. Capacity Planning requires system, network and database administrators, and where possible end users, to develop a formal system of measuring and analysing the pressures being put on the system.
